Dear blog,
Happy New Year!! It’s so great to be ringing in yet another year with you. We’ve gone through many transitions together; finishing a thesis, graduating college, moving to Chicago, getting engaged, getting married, moving again, and retelling tales from at least five jobs…. And, blog, we have another transition forthcoming. Soon, you will tell stories of the new and improved version of Renee: 2010. Soon you will be announcing grad schools and new jobs, but until then, let’s just keep our fingers crossed together. And maybe, if you’re good, you’ll have your own domain sometime this year!
In the meantime, dear blog, I’m going to have to leave you silent for a week. You see, I have some offline goals to meet that are going to require my full attention. That is, unless you can take the GRE for me, which is preferable. Can you at least help me memorize ridiculous geometry formulas? I got a D in high school geometry, remember.
So ciao for now, dear blog. I promise to blog more. I mean, we were nominated for blogger you wish would blog more, so I guess that’s a big enough hint. Blog, I promise I’ll spend more quality time with you in the very near future. Just let me get through this exam and all will be puppies and unicorns and butterflies again.

good luck studying! i took it just over a year ago but since my graduate program didn’t have a minimum score (just for scholarship) i didn’t get it to seriously, which i’m shooting myself for now that i have to take a bunch of loans out. alls i can say is know your vocabulary!
