An Update, in scattered voice
Remember that time school took over my life? And I loved every second of it? Heart boner for grad school.
But remember that time that I picked a topic from a list of “academic controversies” without looking into it only because I thought it was about sexting but it turns out it’s actually about a REALLY GRAPHIC GAY PORN ARTICLE???
Can’t wait to present this paper to my only male-dominated class. Can’t WAIT for that Q&A session.
Grad school is NOT boring.
This is exactly what I needed and exactly where I need to be.
Also, I love fall and football and scarves and cardigans and my husband and chai and the new Sarah Bareilles album and my colleagues and my classes and all the reading I get to do while snuggling on the couch with my kitty and my chai. Also, I drive by a wind farm on my commute and I love that. Also, the department secretary sells coffee for a quarter and that’s really awesome because walking to Starbucks or even McDonald’s wasn’t very pocket-book friendly.
How’s life where you are?
Yay for you! Sounds like you’re getting the intellectual stimulation you need!
I start school in a week and a half. It’ll be the first time I’ve set foot in a classroom since 2001. I CAN’T WAIT!
Love the picture. Cats make terrible study buddies, but they’re so cute!
oh man that is definitely going to be one interesting class, can’t wait to hear about it and glad you’re enjoying school so much!! 🙂
I’m so glad that you’re enjoying grad school… I considered going for my masters in education, but I want to at least try and find a job before I go that route.
I love your school stories and hearing about your experience… keep it comin’!!
I guess we’re in the same boat. Grad school just took over my life, and I’m loving every minute of it. I don’t have class on Thursdays but today I went to school anyway just to read and see all my new friends. I’m a giant grad school nerd!
I love all the stuff you said you loved (except your husband) about fall!
Also, heart boner=hilarious.
Congrats on your amazing start! I’m a few weeks into mine and this semester they are ALL social work courses so therefore I’m in heaven.
I’m so glad you’re getting what you need from grad school. Life’s great here–the countdown to autumn (well, as close as we get to it in Texas) is on, which is a good, good thing!
I’m so happy to read you’re in such a good place! I am too – Life is good, completely whirlwindy busy, but really, really rich 🙂
Also? FALL IS THE BEST.
I love fall and scarves and cardigans and you.
So glad that eveyrthing is going well for you 🙂
