Snippets on a Saturday night
The first week of my second semester is over and so far, so good.
I’ve managed to squeeze in a lot of friend-time lately. Though I’m not making many new friends, I’m turning acquaintances into good friends and good friends into better friends.
My father-in-law is visiting to help Joe build a breakfast nook for our kitchen. I hope it turns out like this:
I always have good blog ideas as I’m falling asleep. I forget them as soon as the morning comes.
I’ve been putting together really great outfits lately. I’d post them to instagram but our bedroom is a mess and unsuitable for pictures.
Defenders of Wildlife keeps sending us wolf stickers. So I’ve been putting them on the packages I send my eBay sales in.
I’m blaming the internet for my recently acquired nail polish habit. It’s become a bit of a problem. Like a new color each week problem.
I wish there were more breweries in the Midwest. There are few things I love more than brewery tours. Any suggestions?
That would seriously be the best breakfast nook.
Breakfast nook = amazing!! Also nail polish – YES. I have a serious problem. I just bought a Revlon color that makes it look like Barbie threw up on my nails. I LOVE IT. Nail polish swap? Also come visit Long Island – there are a bunch of LI breweries Dave and I haven’t visited yet.
I loved our friend date! Thanks for listening to me ramble. I seriously hope your breakfast nook turns out like that one — I’m inviting myself over for tea if that’s the case 🙂 Have you done the Half Acre tour yet?
If you ever find yourself in Kansas City, MO, Boulevard Brewing Company has some pretty fantastic tours.
I have the same dilemma about posting outfit photos, ha. I’ve felt really stylish lately, but there’s no way I’m showing the Internet my bedroom.
I second the Half Acre suggestion. We did the (free!) tour and it was awesome.
Nail polishes are never a problem. At least that’s what I tell myself when I’m buying a new one or five even though I have about 200 already at home.
Yep.
I think every brewery I know you have already been to, but if you are interested in a distillery tour, the 45th Parallel is a small-batch vodka and whiskey distillery just outside of the Cities.
It is super small, but you get to taste ALL the spirits they make and I learned a lot about the process during the tour!
