Christmas Eve
Today, my favorite customer told me and my friend Steph a story about his 16 year old granddaughter. She had asked him, “Grandpa, what is the purpose of everything?” He told her:
“The purpose is your individual choices. Your purpose is what you make it, not what other people think you should make it. If you follow what other people think your purpose is, you’re at fault. Your purpose is your own choice.”
I thanked him for giving me the best Christmas gift I could ask for by sharing in his wisdom.
My Christmas wish this year is to make the choice as to what my purpose really is.
Absolutely beautiful. I think it was Derek who said that we are the results of our choices. This just drove it home further. That’s beautiful motivation for someone trying to ‘make it,’ ha – and I loved this 🙂
That is incredibly beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Love it! Sometimes our purpose finds us before we find it, too. 🙂
Just as an FYI wanted to flag you to three posts that resulted from our field visits with Heifer International in Rwanda. They are doing terrific work on the ground…
